In the first of this three-course series focused on the Science and Engineering Practices of the Iowa Core Science Standards (NGSS), participants will explore the Investigating Practices which include: Asking Questions and Defining Problems, Planning and Carrying Out Investigations, and Using Mathematical and Computational Thinking. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of these practices, connect to instructional strategies and protocols to support students as they engage in these practices, and practice implementing them through a Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle.
